The "Saludo ni Bai" is my entry in the competition.
Let us remember our modern-day heroes, our frontliners, who put their lives on the line for our safety and security as we continue our fight against Covid-19. This piece of artwork exemplifies how sincere our modern-day heroes have been in assisting us in winning this war. I created this piece to inspire everyone, particularly this generation's Filipino youth, to respect and appreciate our frontline heroes who's risking their lives for us. Three men are portrayed in the painting standing and saluting a man dressed in various frontline uniforms. I used the Sangguniang Kabataan logo to reflect this generation's (Bai's) or Filipino youth, and the Philippine flag-inspired house to represent Filipino families who follows the government's guidelines, which are illustrated in the yellow circles. Majority of the colors in the painting were yellow, blue, and red, which are the colors of the Philippine flag. As a show of gratitude, these 3 men conforms to the government's health guidelines in order to support the frontline force in restricting the virus' spread. I'm optimistic that these piece will inspire our juveniles and have a massive impact on them to be sympathetic and respectful of the government's directives in order to achieve the nation's tranquility and benevolence. In the painting there are three men who are standing and saluting to the man who is wearing different uniforms of our frontliners. These men represents the (Bai's) or the youth of this generation and also stands as the every Filipino family who is obeying the guidelines given by the government which illustrated in the yellow circles. In the painting, the three men represents as (Bai's) or the youth of these generations and salutes a man dressed in various frontline uniforms.
The competition was a success, and Mark James Saren's piece, "Pag-asa" was named the event's champion.
